For You "Dog" Card

I was browsing through my personal stamp image binder and came across this cute little dog and his paws... I created the background paper using the paws. :)

The ribbon looks dark, but it's the same color as the dog and paws (Night of Navy - Stampin' Up!)

He traveled a long distance to bring a bone for you! :)

Thanks for looking!

Materials Used:
Paper - Stampin' Up - Whisper White, Only Orange
Ink - Stampin' Up - Night of Navy, Only Orange
Stamp set - Dog, paws - from my stash; "For You" sentiment - Fiskars (I think?)
Ribbon - Stampin' Up - Night of Navy
Other - Dimensionals, ATG gun

Tart & Tangy Mosaic

I've had this idea to play with cutting up images in different colors. For this card, I used the Stampin' Up "Tart & Tangy" stamp set and stamped it in two different colors on 1.75" square cards. I then just sliced them diagonally and arranged them as shown.

I think if/when I do this again, I'll use a different color than "Pretty In Pink"...it's too light and therefore too close to the white cardstock. :)

Thanks for looking!

Materials Used:
Paper - Stampin' Up - Pretty in Pink, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Ink - Stampin' Up - Pretty in Pink, Pumpkin Pie
Ribbon - Stampin' Up - Pretty in Pink, Pumpkin Pie
Stamp Set - Stampin' Up - Tart & Tangy
Other - ATG Gun, Fiskars Trimmer

Hello Kitty - First Project

Well, the start of the project, anyway.

I decided to break open my Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge by Cricut. Let me first explain that I thought I would NEVER buy this cartridge. But then I saw the strawberry and cherry and thought they were pretty versatile... so went with buying the cartridge.

So, naturally... my first cut from the cartridge is the leading lady herself...

I will say this... this is pretty fun to put together and NOT hard at all... the handbook lets you know which keys would be the body, which the clothes, which the bow, nose, etc.

A couple of tips for you all who are contemplating this cartridge:

1. Tweezers. You'll need them! She was 9" so fairly large and I still found myself using the tweezers for her nose and the small parts of her bow.
2. When you go to cut out the bow and nose, they are both cut out together... and that's not fun if you are planning on a bow that is NOT yellow-gold (as you see mine isn't)...so what I did was first cut out the nose and bow with the lilac color. I noticed that the NOSE is cut out first and THEN the bow... I made a mental note of that. Then, when I put in the yellow-gold paper for the nose into the machine... RIGHT after the machine cut out the small oval for the nose, I hit the "STOP" button so as not to have it cut out the bow and thus, saving paper. :) Thought I'd share that with you.

Here's another shot of her:

Her inner shirt IS lilac, you'll just have to trust me. The camera flash sort of blanched it out a bit.

Thanks for looking! :)
